This poor dog named Emily was locked in an empty, filthy cage on a dog meat farm in South Korea
On a very hot day in July, rescuers from the Humane Society of the United States came to the meat yard and saw her.
Emily is in a terrible state. She has been isolated from the world, her paws are raw and swollen, and it is very painful to stand on the wire floor. She also has little or no hair and suffers from severe mange, which has never been treated and will only get worse.
Her transformation is simply jaw-dropping! She received treatment for her mange and her hair began to grow in beautifully.
She lives in the United States of Florida with her new family and enjoys every moment of it. She features a big backyard to frolic in, and never has got to worry about being confined to a cage ever again. She is also making new doggy friends and is extremely friendly and sweet.
Thanks to the HSUS, Emily finally gets to feel what it’s wish to love and be loved. She sleeps on a warm bed, eats real food, and plays with real toys. Every dog is worthy of measuring life like this!
Unfortunately, the dog meat farm that the one like Emily was at isn’t the sole one. South Korea is understood to breed dogs for human consumption, and has thousands of farms across the country. HSUS will still work hard to clean up all these farms!
