PUPPY BORN WITH PERMANENT SMILE STOLE RESCUER’S HEART AND FOUND HIMSELF AN AMAZING FAMILY

very dog deserves to be appreciated, but not all dogs are fortunate enough to receive the love and care they require, particularly those born with impairments or unique birth defects that give them an unusual appearance. Dogs like this are frequently euthanized shortly after birth, leaving them to fend for themselves.

Thankfully, this Pit Bull Rottweiler hybrid is a lucky one. Kaley Carlyle first learned about that special puppy from the mother dog’s owner three years ago. She met him as a rescuer with the intention of assisting the dog in seeking medical attention and finding him a loving home, but she ended up becoming his human mother instead.

Kaley named the dog Chupacabra (or Chupey for short) after the legendary beast from Mexican mythology. Kaley had never seen such a special puppy in her ten years of volunteering with dog rescue organizations.

Chupey had very little fur, small eyes, bent ears, enormous teeth, and a broad mouth, giving him the appearance of being born with a constant smile. And it was that brilliant smile that captivated Kaley’s heart in an instant, making her fall in love with the small man in some strange way.

They later learned that his unusual appearance was due to an extra chromosome, but that didn’t stop the dog from living life to the fullest every day. The congenital deformity seems to have solely had a physical impact on him, not a mental one.

Chupey has always been a bouncy, happy puppy that enjoyed his humans and was also good with other dogs. Kaley has fostered several dogs as an animal rescuer, and Chupey was always a good friend to them all.

Chupey is still the happiest dog on the planet three years later! He’s not just Kaley’s daughter Carson’s best friend, but he’s also a staunch supporter of special-needs dogs and dogs with unusual appearances in general. Isn’t it lovely?
