After his family abandoned him, 8-year-old Labrador Retriever Ray was discovered strolling the streets of Torrance, California, by himself. His eyes had a crusty, melancholy look. His physique was bone-thin due to hunger, and parts of his coat’s fur were disappearing.
A dog experiencing his family’s abandonment is heartbreaking. Family members could refuse to provide care for an ailing or elderly dog, but they are unaware of the suffering the dog would endure if it were abandoned.
The eight-year-old Labrador Retriever Ray was discovered strolling the streets of Torrance, California, by himself after his family abandoned him.
His eyes had a crusty, melancholy look. His physique was bone-thin due to hunger, and parts of his coat’s fur were disappearing.
Employees at the Carson Asylum in California came to Ray’s aid. Ray was able to regain some health thanks to the volunteers at the shelter, but his depression persisted.
He was placed for adoption shortly after. It appears that very few people favor advanced dogs.
Update: Ray is now an adopted child! Ray still maintains the same affection for others. He was still giving everyone warm, enthusiastic responses.lustfully. We were devastated to see him on the video looking so depressed and hopeless. We hope Ray gets well soon and continues to get lots of love and attention.
