Animal control officers were attempting to apprehend a dog that was loose in a gated property near the mountains. It was a marvel she was still alive because she was so frail.
When Animal Control failed, Hope For Paws stepped in, and it’s a good thing they did!
The poor pup had lost so much fur that her bones could be seen through her skin. Her physical look was sad. The dog was terrified of humans, but she couldn’t say no to the cheeseburgers her rescuers provided. The poor girl was very hungry.
One of the rescuers slipped behind her to prepare the snare while the others continued to feed her. It would be a terrifying few seconds, but they had no choice but to apprehend this unfortunate puppy.
She required medical treatment as well as a permanent residence. Dogs have no place on the streets or in the mountains! She deserved to be loved and cared for!
Finally, the thin dog was trapped and carefully placed in the automobile. She was terrified, but she handled herself well. Edna was the name given to her by her rescuers.
They tested her for a microchip when they returned to the medical institution… and she had one! Her previous owner had moved her into a new house years before. Those proprietors informed her that Edna had passed away! What a nightmare!
Despite the joyful news of Edna’s survival, her original owner was not interested in reuniting with her. Perhaps it was a gift in disguise since… drum roll please…
Edna was put in a fantastic foster home and met her forever family there! She has a beautiful mother and a human sibling that loves her!
Edna will never be hungry or lonely again! YAY!
